Operations Manager International Tours & Packages

Responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of international tours and packages.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tour Planning & Execution

Design, develop, and manage international tour packages across multiple destinations

Oversee itinerary planning, costing, and vendor coordination

Ensure all travel arrangements (flights, accommodation, transfers, visas, excursions) are executed flawlessly

2. Supplier & Vendor Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with global DMCs, hotels, airlines, and local partners

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) Monitor vendor performance and ensure service quality standards

3. Operations Management

Manage day-to-day tour operations, including bookings, documentation, and logistics

Ensure compliance with international travel regulations and visa requirements

Handle escalations, disruptions, and crisis situations effectively

4. Customer Experience & Service Excellence

Ensure high levels of traveler satisfaction and service delivery

Address customer queries, complaints, and feedback promptly Implement processes to enhance the overall travel experience

5. Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead and mentor operations executives and coordinators

Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and drive team productivity Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams for seamless execution

Cost Control & Profitability

Monitor operational costs and optimize margins on tour packages Ensure accurate costing, invoicing, and financial reconciliation

Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements

7. Process Improvement & Compliance

Develop SOPs for operational efficiency and service consistency Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements

Leverage technology and automation tools to improve workflows

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field

8-15 years of experience in international travel operations or tour management

Experience with global DMCs and international suppliers preferred
