Role & responsibilities

- Prepare and process export shipping documents including House Bill of Lading (HBL), Master Bill of Lading (MBL), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin, and other statutory documents.
- Verify shipping instructions and documentation for accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs brokers, overseas agents, and customers to facilitate smooth export operations.
- Prepare and submit Bill of Lading drafts for customer approval and arrange final BL release.
- Track shipment milestones and provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely documentation submission to shipping lines, carriers, and customs authorities.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation in the freight forwarding system.
- Resolve documentation discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with relevant parties.
- Support the operations team to ensure shipments are dispatched within planned timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, international trade regulations,



and customer-specific requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Export Documentation within a Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Shipping Line, or Logistics company.
- Sound knowledge of export documentation procedures and international shipping practices.
- Experience handling Bill of Lading drafting and release, shipping instructions, invoices, and export documentation.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding software such as ODEX, NEXERA, Ezeeshipping, CargoWise, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, customs documentation, and shipping regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Robust communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments while meeting strict deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Shipping, Logistics, or Freight Forwarding is an added advantage.
