Role Overview
We are looking for a Sr FnV Buyer to drive sourcing for one of our most critical categories in the Bengaluru region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience buying fresh produce directly from farms, mandis, FPOs, and destination markets, and will be skilled at building and managing strong vendor networks.
Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end sourcing of major KVI (Key Value Items) across fruits and vegetables for the Bengaluru region
• Source produce directly from farms, source markets, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), and destination markets
• Build and maintain a robust, reliable network of farmer-vendors and aggregators
• Manage sourcing operations at KR Market and Electronic City fruit market
• Ensure consistent quality, pricing, and availability across the FnV category
• Mentor and manage a small team of Junior Buyers, where applicable
Requirements
• 4-5 years of experience in FnV buying/procurement
• Proven experience sourcing from direct farms, source markets, FPOs, and destination markets
• Strong existing network of farmer-vendors and aggregators
• Familiarity with Bengaluru's local produce markets, especially KR Market and Electronic City
• Prior experience managing 1-2 Junior Buyers is a plus
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills
• Willingness to travel within the region and work early market hours as require
