Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Apigee API Management Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and highperformance APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong handson experience with Google Apigee, API lifecycle management, and integration with enterprise systems in a digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain APIs using Apigee (Edge / X)
- Implement API proxies, policies, shared flows, and API products
- Handle API security including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and rolebased access
- Implement traffic management policies (Spike Arrest, Quotas, Rate Limiting)
- Integrate RESTful APIs with backend services and thirdparty systems
- Troubleshoot API issues using Apigee Analytics, Trace, and Logs
- Ensure API versioning, documentation, and lifecycle management best practices
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, and DevOps teams
- Support CI/CD pipelines for API deployments
- Ensure performance optimization, monitoring, and scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications





- 46 years of experience in API development and integration
- 3+ years of handson experience with Apigee (Edge/X)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes
- Experience with API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL, API Keys)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, or Node.js for Apigee policies
- Experience with JSON, XML, XSLT
- Handson experience with API proxies, Policies, Shared Flows
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, GitHub/GitLab)
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

Good to Have

- Experience with Apigee X (GCP)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure)
- Experience with Microservices Architecture
- Familiarity with Kong, MuleSoft, or other API gateways
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes / Docker
