General Ledger Job Description - Senior Executive

- To ensure and manage the timely and accurate closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual books and reporting to the head office within the timeliness and accuracy.

- Support budgeting and forecasting in Collaborating with other Departments and Business Control to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.

- Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis, as well as preparing reports.

- Performing account analysis to ensure and Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, inter-company transactions, and fixed assets etc.

- Support in preparation of annual financial statements schedules and disclosures Ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.

- Accounting treatment of borrowings, interest, repayment schedule, valuation of borrowings with respect to Forex fluctuations for debtors, creditors, borrowings.

- Fixed Asset Management:



To check/review every capex transaction and manage that the same have been capitalized in books and computation of Depreciation as per the Group policy and Companies Act.

- Review of Asset Under Construction including aging and signed In Service Certificate for transfer in FA and start of amortization.

- Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting.

- Ensures timely submission of account reconciliations and adequate explanations of GL variances with reasoning.

- Accounting treatment of borrowings, Loan interest, repayment schedule, valuation of borrowings with respect to Forex fluctuations (Forex Translation and transactions).

- To liaise with the external auditors and ensure timely completion of the audit and ensure that all schedules and workings have been furnished on a timely basis.
