Must Have Skills:

- Robust experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or application modernization.
- Strong expertise in Azure infrastructure: VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Storage, Key Vault, IAM.
- Experience designing solutions using Azure App Services, AKS, Functions, and other PaaS components.
- Solid understanding of migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor) and assessment frameworks.
- Handson experience with Azure networking (VNet peering, private endpoints, firewalls, routing).
- Strong knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID, RBAC, identity integration, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with InfrastructureasCode (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) and CI/CD concepts.
- Ability to create architecture diagrams, solution documents, and migration plans.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.
- Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.

Good to Have Skills:

- Experience with largescale cloud migration or data center exit programs.
- Knowledge of container platforms (AKS, OpenShift) and modernization patterns.
- Familiarity with application integration services (APIM, Service Bus, Event Grid).
- Exposure to data platform services (ADF, Synapse, Databricks).
- Understanding of FinOps, cost governance,



and cloud optimization.
- Azure certifications (AZ305, AZ104, AZ400, or Architect Expert).

Responsibilities or Expectations from the Role:

- Lead the architecture and design of Azure based infrastructure and application solutions for migration from on prem environments.
- Define landing zone architecture, governance, identity, networking, and security patterns.
- Assess on prem applications and infrastructure to determine migration strategy (rehost, refactor, replatform).
- Provide architectural guidance for Azure compute (VMs, App Services, AKS), storage, networking, and identity.
- Work with application teams to modernize workloads using Azure PaaS services where applicable.
- Create high level and low level architecture documents, solution blueprints, and migration patterns.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD, IaC, and automation into solution designs.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, performance, and cost optimization standards.
- Support migration waves by validating readiness, resolving architectural blockers, and guiding cutover.
- Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders, providing best practices and architectural recommendations.
