Job Summary

OEG India is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Specialist with extensive expertise in procurement, contract management, and vendor management within the Thermal Power Plant industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, negotiating commercial contracts, ensuring timely material and service delivery, and supporting project execution while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with organizational policies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage the complete procurement process for materials, equipment, spare parts, and services related to Thermal Power Plants.
- Prepare and evaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and tender documents.
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors to achieve the best commercial terms.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer EPC, O&M;, AMC, and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and strategic suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and monitor vendor performance through periodic assessments.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Operations, Finance, and Stores teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Analyze procurement costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.




- Resolve contractual disputes, supplier issues, and commercial claims effectively.
- Maintain procurement documentation, purchase orders, contracts, and audit records.
- Ensure timely procurement of critical plant equipment, consumables, and maintenance spares.
- Track market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing to support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports, vendor performance reports, and management presentations.
- Support audits by ensuring complete procurement documentation and compliance.

Mandatory Requirements

- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Procurement within the Thermal Power Plant sector.
- Proven expertise in Contract Management.
- Hands-on experience in Power Plant Contracts.
- Solid experience in Vendor Management and Strategic Sourcing.
- Thorough knowledge of procurement processes, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Hindi is mandatory.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP procurement modules is preferred.
