Roles and Responsibilities :
- Review medical records, diagnoses, and treatment plans to accurately code patient data using CPC, CCS, IP DRG standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines for accurate coding practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or questions related to coding.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Job Requirements :
- 3-7 years of experience in medical coding (CPC, CCS) or equivalent certification (IP DRG).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHRs) and ability to learn current software quickly.
