The Data Supervisor is responsible for predetermined work assignments that are process-driven, and subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates on a course of action based on knowledge of established policies and procedures. Provides input and contributes to managing costs related to the team or organization. Other responsibilities are leading data governance, quality, and operational data management within a defined region or domain. This role combines leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on expertise, ensuring that data is accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The position operates with some degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute data management and governance strategy
- Drive data standardization and best practices
- Act as a bridge between global strategy and local execution
Data Governance & Quality
- Establish and/or enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and controls
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality metrics and monitoring
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with global teams, business leaders and IT
- Act as the main point of contact representing your team
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily data operations and processes
- Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with data regulatory and privacy requirements
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior team members and build team capability
- Lead cross-functional or regional projects
Change & Transformation
- Support digital transformation and automation efforts
- Manage change adoption

Technical Skills
- Experience in data management (MDM, data governance, data quality)

Experience Requirements
- 1-3 years of leadership experience
- Experience in data management, analytics, or operations roles
- Experience working in shared services or global operating models
- Prior experience in data governance or data quality programs
