Job Description Assistant Manager- Demand Planning & Supply chain sales operation

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for driving Sales Operations, Order Management, Inventory Planning, and MIS for the Flooring business. The incumbent will ensure seamless order execution, inventory optimization, production coordination, sales reporting, and business analytics while collaborating with Sales, PPC, Logistics, Finance, Category, and Plant teams to achieve customer service and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Operations & Order Management

- Raise Production Sales Orders (SOs) based on business requirements.
- Monitor production status, material readiness, and dispatch execution.
- Verify dispatch orders and ensure accurate material allocation.
- Fulfill customer material requirements while optimizing inventory utilization.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Sales team on material availability and dispatch status.
- Track project-wise billing commitments and ensure timely order execution.

2. Inventory Management & Material Planning

- Manage Carpet Tile inventory across all locations.
- Allocate inventory across projects based on priorities and customer commitments.
- Publish daily blocking sheets and free stock reports.
- Coordinate with PPC, Category, and Plant teams for production and material planning.
- Monitor liquidation stock and maintain inventory reports.
- Prepare monthly demand forecasts for Carpet Tile and SPC products.
- Identify inventory shortages, excess stock, and slow-moving materials, and recommend corrective actions.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with PPC for production planning and material availability.
- Work with Logistics for vehicle planning and dispatch execution.
- Liaise with Finance for payment follow-ups, credit approvals, and blocked order releases.




- Partner with Sales Support and Category teams to ensure timely customer fulfillment.

4. Sales Planning & Business Reporting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports.
- Maintain sales dashboards, trend analysis, and performance reports.
- Prepare sales incentive reports and billing projections.
- Maintain open order reports and project pipeline reports.
- Develop BRC presentations, business review decks, and management reports.
- Generate customer-wise, architect-wise, account-wise, SO-wise, and salesperson-wise sales analytics.
- Maintain key account performance databases and customer master data.

5. Management Information System (MIS)

- Prepare business MIS and management reports.
- Ensure accuracy and timely publication of sales, inventory, dispatch, and performance reports.
- Develop executive dashboards and presentations to support business decision-making.

Preferred Qualification

- MBA / PGDM in Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, or Marketing
- Graduate in Commerce, Engineering, or Business Administration

Experience

- 58 years of experience in Sales Operations, Order Management, Inventory Planning, MIS, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Building Materials, Flooring, Home Textiles, FMCG, or Consumer Durables will be preferred.
