- Execute the vision established by Solution Architects (SAs) and transform architectural direction into actionable engineering plans.
- Serve as the primary hands-on technical expert, addressing complex implementation and feasibility challenges, performing root cause analyses, and establishing solution patterns.
- Spend most of your time collaborating, facilitating technical discussions, and influencing direction, with occasional hands-on coding
- Mentor and coach senior engineers to raise the technical capabilities across the team.
- Partner with Product, SREs, DBAs, and other stakeholders for story sizing, technical planning, roadmap decisions, and configuration management.
- Lead proof-of-concept efforts, technical spikes, and the research of new technologies to evaluate fit for business needs.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, code governance, and proper system documentation.
- Review code, focusing on feature-level and major initiatives,



occasionally guiding the code review process for critical features.
- Advocate and implement automation for testing, performance, and continuous delivery to meet or exceed SLOs.
- Leverage design patterns and architectural best practices in modernization efforts, migration, and integration, including system retirement.
- Identify and manage dependencies with external products and teams as required for new features and architectural initiatives.
- Collaborate to design end-to-end architecture diagrams, provide technical leadership on system design, and facilitate cross-functional solutions with SEs & SAs.
- Promote automation and creative strategies for building, testing, and deploying distributed enterprise systems.
- Coordinate with internal and external engineering/architect stakeholders to deliver on product and PI goals.
