Job description
OP is partnering with a globally renowned leader in media, entertainment, and consumer experiences to hire a Network Operations Manager. The Manager, Network Operation Center role combines deep technical expertise on network and automation with product-oriented thinking, ensuring the services meet the needs of internal customers, scale efficiently, and deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Operations Management
- Oversee daily network operations across Automation, WAN, LAN, data center, and cloud environments.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational procedures.
- Manage shift coverage, on-call rotations, and workload distribution.
- Act as the first level of escalation for operational issues.
- Incident Management & Execution
- Coordinate incident detection, triage, and resolution efforts.
- Lead bridge calls for medium to high severity incidents.
- Delegate and coordinate low-severity incident remediation.
- Delegate and coordinate the oversight and execution of Automation workflows.
- Ensure timely communication to stakeholders during outages.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure follow-through on action items.
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Manage and mentor a team of network engineers.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development guidance.
- Ensure team adherence to operational standards and best practices.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
- Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Contribute to the development of runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Identify areas of opportunity for efficiency with workflows and/or observability.
- Support the implementation of automation and monitoring enhancements.
- Track and report on operational KPIs (MTTR, incident volume, etc.).
- Monitoring & Observability
- Ensure effective use of monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, LogicMonitor, or SolarWinds.
- Assist in tuning alerts to improve signal-to-noise ratio.
- Support proactive identification of network and automation performance issues.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Automation, Network Engineering, Security, and Cloud teams on issue resolution.
- Coordinate vendor escalations and service provider interactions.
- Support change management activities and maintenance windows.
Must Haves (Years of Experience, languages, programs, tools, etc.):
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5- 8+ years of experience in network operations, Tier 1 operations center or infrastructure roles.
- 13+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls.
- Solid understanding of network automation.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Logic Monitor, Grafana).
- Experience with ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Handson experience designing and operating networks where uptime, determinism, and rapid recovery are critical to the business.
- Demonstrated ability to operate under tight deadlines, balancing innovation with operational stability and reliability.
- Handson experience with NetDevOps and infrastructureascode practices, including tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and network APIs.
- Experience applying automation, analytics, and AI/ML techniques to network operations, including performance optimization, anomaly detection, predictive capacity planning, and intelligent remediation.
- Strong understanding of how AIdriven operations and observability can improve reliability, efficiency, and decisionmaking in complex network environments.
- Experience operating hybrid onpremises, cloud, and edge network environments supporting global, enterprise-scaled networks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills, with the ability to engage effectively with engineering, creative, vendor and business leaders across organizations and time zones.
- Strong leadership presence, sound judgment, and the ability to make highimpact technical and operational decisions in ambiguous, highpressure environments.
Education:
- Required: A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

- Certifications (JNCIA-Junos, JNCIA-MistAI, JNCIA-SEC, ACE-A, PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, BIG-IP, DDI Qualified).
- Experience with live events, post-production, creative, broadcast, or VFX environments.
