Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager with strong Solution Architecture experience to lead SaaS platform delivery, technical design, engineering execution, and
client/product integrations. This role is ideal for someone who has grown from a hands-on software engineering / solution architecture background into engineering leadership. The person should be able to guide teams, review architecture, manage delivery, improve engineering quality, and work closely with product, DevOps, QA, security, and client-facing teams.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership

- Lead and manage a team of backend, frontend, QA, and integration engineers.
- Own sprint execution, release planning, engineering delivery, and production stability.
- Break product requirements into clear technical work items with timelines and ownership.
- Improve team productivity, engineering discipline, code quality, and accountability.
- Mentor developers and technical leads.

Solution Architecture

- Design scalable SaaS architecture for client onboarding, workflows, APIs, integrations, dashboards, and admin portals.
- Translate business and product requirements into technical architecture, data flows, and integration designs.
- Define API structures, authentication flows, webhook events, data models, and configuration logic.
- Decide what should be product-configurable versus custom development.
- Review technical designs before development starts to reduce rework.

SaaS Platform Delivery

- Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, configurable, multi-tenant, and easy to deploy.
- Work with Product Managers to plan modules, features, user stories, and release milestones.
- Ensure robust backend, frontend, database, API, and cloud architecture practices.
- Drive timely delivery of SaaS features from design to production.




- Coordinate with DevOps/SRE teams on CI/CD, deployment, monitoring,

Quality, Security & Governance

- Enforce secure coding, API security, access control, audit logs, and data protection practices.
- Work with InfoSec and DevOps teams to ensure cloud, infrastructure, and application security.
- Improve QA processes, test coverage, regression testing, and UAT readiness.
- Track and reduce production bugs, technical debt, and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and release notes.

Client & Internal Stakeholder Collaboration

- Support client-facing discussions where technical solutioning is required.
- Work with sales, delivery, product, and implementation teams to assess client requirements.
- Explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Help design implementation approaches for complex client integrations.

Required Experience

- 10 14+ years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3 5 years in engineering management or technical leadership.
- Prior experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Lead Engineer, or Senior Backend Engineer.
- Strong experience building and scaling B2B SaaS platforms.
- Experience managing engineering teams of 6 15 people.
- Strong background in APIs, integrations, microservices, cloud architecture, databases, and security.
- Experience working with product, QA, DevOps, security, and implementation teams.
- Prior experience in regulated industries,



fintech, banking, payments, compliance, identity, risk, or enterprise SaaS is preferred.

Technical Skills

- SaaS architecture and multi-tenant platform design
- REST APIs, webhooks, API gateway, authentication, authorization
- Microservices or modular backend architecture
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, logging, and release management
- SQL / NoSQL databases
- Event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing
- System design, scalability, performance, and reliability
- Secure coding, encryption, RBAC, audit trails, and data privacy
- Frontend/backend integration understanding
- Experience with Node.js, NestJS, React, Java, Python, or similar modern stacks
- Experience with AWS Lambda, S3, queues, containers, Kubernetes, or serverless architecture
- Experience with enterprise client integrations
- Experience with configurable workflow engines, form builders, rule engines, or admin platforms
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, data localization, or regulated SaaS environments
