Role & responsibilities
- Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans .
- Prepare project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within approved cost and quality parameters.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Utility, and Production teams for seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
- Supervise construction of industrial buildings, production facilities, warehouses, roads, drainage systems, foundations, retaining walls, administrative buildings, and utility infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and construction standards.
- Conduct periodic inspections to maintain construction quality
- Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and technical evaluations.
- Participate in contractor selection and bid evaluation.
- Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations.
- Verify work measurements, certify bills, and control variations.
- Ensure adherence to applicable IS codes, engineering standards, and project specifications.
- Monitor quality of concrete, reinforcement, structural works, masonry, finishing, and infrastructure works.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, government authorities, contractors, and internal departments.
- Obtain statutory approvals related to civil construction.
- Resolve technical and execution issues through effective collaboration.
Preferred candidate profile:
- 15-20 years of experience in heavy industrial construction.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Construction Management or Structural Engineering is desirable.
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is an added advantage.
