Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage and execute electrical maintenance activities in the Cold Rolling Mill (CRM). The role involves ensuring high equipment availability, minimizing breakdowns, driving process improvements, maintaining safety standards, and supporting production targets through effective maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Maintenance & Reliability

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of CRM electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Drive equipment modifications and improvement initiatives.

2. Production Support

- Coordinate with operations teams to achieve production targets.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical systems supporting CRM processes.

3. Cost Optimization

- Monitor and control electrical maintenance costs.
- Optimize consumption of spares, consumables, and maintenance resources.

4. Continuous Improvement

- Implement process improvement and productivity enhancement projects.
- Identify opportunities for automation and equipment upgrades.
- Participate in TPM, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and Q-SHE requirements.




- Maintain zero-accident work practices and a protected working environment.
- Support internal and external audits.

6. Team & Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with Operations, Automation, Purchase, Stores, Utilities, Q-SHE, and other support functions.
- Manage contractors and vendor activities related to maintenance work.
- Support training and capability development of maintenance teams.

Education

- Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

- B.Tech: 4-7 years of relevant experience.
- Diploma: 8-12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in steel plants, Cold Rolling Mills (CRM), or similar manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in maintenance of 20 Hi Mill and associated electrical systems will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

- Electrical maintenance of Cold Rolling Mill equipment.
- PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.
- LV and HV Drives maintenance and fault diagnosis.
- Electrical protection systems and power distribution.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical safety standards.
