Position Summary
The Legal Associate will support DKMS Asias legal function by managing end-to-end contract processes, ensuring compliance, and maintaining robust documentation standards. The role involves drafting and reviewing standard agreements, administering the contract lifecycle, and maintaining an accurate, audit ready legal repository. The incumbent will also track regulatory developments, support legal documentation and reporting, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and well-governed operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management & Drafting
• Utilize established organizational templates to draft, evaluate, and negotiate standard legal instruments, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Vendor Agreements,
Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Administer the full contract lifecycle, proactively managing timelines for execution, renewal, and expiration.
• Maintain the centralized legal repository, ensuring all documentation is systematically archived and readily accessible for audit purposes.
• Maintain and update the organizational folders to ensure seamless departmental coordination.
Research & Compliance
• Monitor and compile reports on regional legal developments, legislative revisions, and relevant case laws that may impact DKMS Asias operations.
• Provide administrative support in the preparation of formal legal documents, briefs, and internal reports.
• Ensure rigorous attention to detail in all regulatory filings and cross-departmental follow-ups.
Qualifications Mandatory Requirements:
• Education LL.B. degree (final-year candidates with exceptional academic standing may be considered).
• 02 years of work experience within a legal department or law firm; high-quality internship experience is highly valued.
• A robust foundational understanding of contract law, commercial principles, and compliance frameworks.
• Good command of the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) for drafting and data management.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills. Preferred Credentials:
• Familiarity with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and fundamental principles of GDPR.
• Prior exposure to ISO standards or participation in corporate audit processes..
