Job Overview

A leading Germany-headquartered IT services organization is seeking an experienced, proactive, and quality-focused Senior Application Developer to develop, enhance, and maintain software applications in accordance with internal standards, project requirements, and customer needs.

The successful candidate will write and review high-quality code, resolve complex technical issues, establish application foundations, lead assigned customer projects, prepare technical specifications and estimates, and mentor junior developers.

The position will report functionally to a Team Leader and administratively to a Location Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development and Architecture

- Develop, enhance, test, integrate, monitor, and maintain software applications and integrated solutions.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code based on functional and technical requirements.
- Develop software using at least one major programming language, such as C, C++, Java, C#, Python, or a comparable language.
- Establish application foundations and project structures in alignment with overall architecture guidelines.
- Create reusable modules, components, and code snippets.
- Handle and document technical tasks of basic, advanced, and high complexity, including bug fixes, unit testing, and ticket resolution.

Code Quality and Technical Delivery

- Review code for functionality, quality, maintainability, and compliance with requirements.
- Conduct pull-request reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Explain recommended coding approaches and support the implementation of code-review feedback.
- Prepare technical specifications and supporting documentation.
- Analyse requirements and estimate the time and effort required for development activities.
- Track project activities and communicate technical progress, risks, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.




- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, development quality, and process efficiency.

Project and Customer Support

- Lead assigned customer projects from a technical perspective.
- Coordinate with customers, project stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Document relevant customer, project, application, and technical information in a structured manner.
- Provide technical input and project estimates to presales, solution-development, or architecture teams when requested.
- Present technical estimates and project information in a clear and understandable format.
- Contribute to technical communications, knowledge articles, and documentation relating to technologies and tools.

Mentoring and Continuous Improvement

- Mentor junior developers and share role-specific technical knowledge.
- Contribute to the technical onboarding of recent team members.
- Provide input into team skills assessments, training requirements, and technical-development activities.
- Support the development of technical learning paths for team members.
- Evaluate tools and technologies relevant to the teams work.
- Recommend and implement technical or operational improvements.
- Demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
- Follow organizational values, security requirements, quality standards, and established working practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelors Degree/Education in IT, Computer Science,



or a related field.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience in application development environments.

Language Skills: Business-fluent English skills (Minimum B2 Level equivalent).

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, service-oriented mindset, proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Technical Skills & Competencies

- Programming & Development: Ability to program in at least one major programming language (e.g., C, Java, etc.), writing basic and advanced level difficulty code in a clean, reusable, and well-documented way.
- Application Architecture & Lifecycle: Understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of applications, building project foundations and structures following overall architecture, and creating reusable code snippets/modules.
- Software Engineering & Operations: Developing, coding, building, testing, integrating, monitoring, and maintaining integrated solutions.
- Problem Solving & Quality Assurance: Handling, solving, and documenting basic, advanced, and high-level technical problems (e.g., bug fixes, unit tests, task ticket solutions), and reviewing code for functionality and requirements (e.g., pull requests).
- Technical Specifications & Estimations: Writing and defining basic technical specifications, evaluating future task time for estimations, and delivering on-demand estimations presented in consumable data.
- Certifications (Preferred): Work context or technology-specific certifications or training courses (e.g., Google Developer Certification, Microsoft Certification, MCSD, etc.).
- Analytical & Conceptual Thinking: Ability to work in a conceptual, structured, and independent manner.
