Resident Engineer M&E; Services.

- Based at Site which is located about 70 Kms from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This is for a critical Marine Infrastructure Project for a government client. Reporting will be to Chief Resident Engineer/ Project Manager.

- The Resident Engineer M&E; Services Utilities will be responsible for leading a team for supervision of execution, site coordination, and technical leadership of heavy utility services, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant delivery within approved budget in a marine/infrastructure setting. The role requires solid capability to lead both electrical and mechanical teams executing large, integrated utility systems.

- M&E; Utility Services Execution. Provide resident engineering supervision for execution of M&E; utility services, including but not limited to:
- Fresh water supply systems
- Sewage and sullage systems
- Fire-fighting systems
- HVAC
- Electrical distribution systems, Substation works
- Low-pressure (LP) air systems
- Communication and data networks

- Ensure execution works are in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable codes and standards.

- Review and monitor shop drawings, vendor drawings, technical submittals, method statements, installation procedures related to utility systems, and certification of contractor payments.

- Marine & Infrastructure Interfaces. Supervise M&E; utility works associated with marine and coastal infrastructure, including jetties, wharves, berths, utility corridors, and support facilities. Coordinate with marine contractors, vendors, and specialist agencies to ensure integrated execution.



Ensure utilities installed in marine environments meet durability, protection, and safety requirements.

- Stakeholder Coordination. Act as the primary Jacobs representative for M&E; utilities on site. Interface regularly with the Client, Contractors, Vendors, and Jacobs design teams. Participate in progress meetings, technical reviews, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.

- Reporting & Documentation. Maintain site records, inspection reports, technical observations, and compliance documentation. Provide regular inputs to project progress reports. Support system testing, commissioning, and handover documentation for utility services.

About You

- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15-20 years of experience in execution and site supervision of utility services for large infrastructure and/or industrial projects.
- Proven experience handling heavy utility services works, including electrical distribution and substations.

Technical & Leadership Skills

- Strong working knowledge of:
- Electrical distribution systems and substations
- Mechanical utility services (water, sewage, fire-fighting, HVAC, LP air, communication networks)
- Familiarity with relevant Indian and international codes, standards, and best practices related to utility services.
- Ability to review drawings, method statements, test procedures, and commissioning plans.
