Role & responsibilities

- Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of bought-out commodities.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering.
- Coordinate daily with PPC and Production teams to prioritize material supplies based on production requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and rationalize the supplier base to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Work closely with Incoming Quality and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) teams to resolve supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adequate availability of make-to-stock items as per inventory norms to support uninterrupted production.
- Monitor and expedite the closure of incoming material rejections and rework with suppliers.
- Prepare supplier schedules, release purchase orders, and follow up to ensure timely material availability.
- Support supplier development and continuous improvement.
- Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost, and initiate improvement actions where required.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase documentation, and ensure compliance with company procurement policies
