Job Description

As a Production Planning Engineer / PPC Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling the manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production flow and timely delivery of products. You will work closely with production, procurement, quality, sales, and inventory teams to align production schedules with customer demand and business goals.

Typical Responsibilities

- Develop and implement detailed production schedules based on customer orders and sales forecasts.
- Monitor and coordinate daily production activities to ensure adherence to plans.
- Allocate resources (machines, manpower, materials) optimally for effective production.
- Coordinate material planning and ensure timely availability of components to avoid delays.
- Maintain and update production data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
- Track production progress and KPIs (e.g., schedule adherence, throughput, inventory levels).
- Identify bottlenecks, deviations, and suggest corrective actions.
- Prepare production status, performance reports, and MIS for management review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives,



Lean/5S practices, and reduce operational costs.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (procurement, quality, store, dispatch).

Skills & Competencies Required

Core Technical Skills

- Production Planning & Scheduling: Create and manage production plans and schedules to ensure optimal workflow.
- Inventory & Material Planning: MRP and inventory control to ensure material availability.
- ERP/MRP Systems: Proficiency in ERP tools SAP PP/MRP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar.
- MS Excel / MS Office: Skilled in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards), Word, PowerPoint.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of shop floor operations, capacity planning, and production processes.

Education & Experience

- Bachelors degree in mechanical / production / industrial / manufacturing engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience: Typically, 25+ years in production planning or PPC roles in a manufacturing workplace
