Role & responsibilities :

We are looking for a Quality Manager whose first instinct is to prevent defects, not to catch them. At MSR Infraa, quality is engineered into the way every activity is planned, sequenced, and executed so that the right outcome is the natural outcome, not the result of repeated correction. This role owns that discipline across our sites.

The Mindset We Are Hiring For:

Most quality roles in construction operate as a check-and-repair function: work is done, then inspected, then snagged, then redone. We are deliberately building the opposite. The person we want:

- Engineers it in. designs quality into the process upfront through clear method statements, inspection and test plans, approved samples, and benchmark work so the standard is set and agreed before volume execution begins.
- Fixes the cause. treats rework as a failure of the system, not only of the worker, and removes the conditions that allowed the defect rather than just correcting its symptom.
- Is exceptionally organised. documents every approval, test, and decision so that it is traceable and retrievable quality you cannot evidence is quality you cannot defend.
- Resolves issues inclusively. brings site engineers, contractors, masons, and consultants along as partners explaining the why, earning compliance through clarity and respect rather than confrontation, and staying patient when a problem needs unpicking.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality at Source (Prevention)

• Develop, own, and continuously refine Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and stage-wise checklists for every major activity structure, blockwork, plaster, waterproofing, tiling, MEP first- and second-fix, finishes, and faade.

- Establish first-pour, first-unit, and benchmark-sample approvals before any work is replicated at scale, so standards are locked before volume execution.
- Set and approve mock-ups for key finishes large-format tiling, joinery, bathrooms,

lobbies and agree acceptance criteria (surface flatness, lippage, joint alignment, levels) in advance.
- Material & Vendor Quality

- Define material specifications and approval procedures; review and approve incoming materials, sample submittals, and GRN inspections.
- Maintain an approved-makes list and a reconciliation discipline so that what is specified is what is actually installed.

Process Control & Documentation

- Maintain a complete, auditable quality record checklists, cube and slump tests, rebar checks, waterproofing flood tests, MEP testing and commissioning, NCRs, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Run a structured non-conformance and root-cause process where every recurring issue leads to a permanent change in method, not a one-time repair.

Standards & Compliance

- • Ensure execution meets relevant IS codes, the NBC, the structural and IS 16700 requirements set by the engineering team, IGBC Platinum criteria, and RERA quality and defect-liability obligations.
- Coordinate quality interfaces with the structural consultant, the MEP consultant, the architect on record, and the Managing Partners structural team particularly on slab levels, shaft and penetration coordination, and waterproofing.

Site Collaboration & Culture

- Walk the site daily; engage execution teams before and during an activity, not only after it is complete.

• Train and coach site engineers, supervisors, and contractor crews on agreed methods building a shared standard rather than policing an imposed one.

• Chair quality reviews and report status, trends, and risks to project and senior leadership.

Handover Quality

- Own the snag and de-snag process at unit and common-area handover with the explicit aim that the de-snag list is short because quality was built in upstream.
- Support a clean handover to customers and the maintenance team, with documentation that protects MSR through the defect-liability period.

How We Expect Issues To Be Resolved

- When something goes wrong on site, we do not look first for who to blame. We look for what in the process allowed it, fix that, and bring the team with us.
- The Quality Manager is expected to be the calmest person in the room during a problem listening fully, understanding the constraint the crew was working under, and arriving at a resolution that holds the standard while keeping both the relationship and the schedule intact.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent; a post-graduate qualification or quality certification (Six Sigma, ISO 9001 lead auditor) is an advantage.
- 812 years in construction quality, with meaningful experience on high-rise residential and/or premium finishes. Direct exposure to G+ towers, large-format tiling, waterproofing systems, and MEP testing and commissioning is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of IS codes, the NBC, IGBC / green-building documentation, RERA quality obligations, and high-rise compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on familiarity with QMS documentation, ITPs, NCR/CAPA systems, and standard site test regimes.

Core Competencies

Prevention-first thinking designs systems so the right result is the default.

- Exceptional organisation and documentation discipline.
- Root-cause rigour — solves the cause, not the symptom.
- Patience and emotional steadiness under pressure.
- An inclusive, coaching style that earns cooperation from contractors and crews.
- Explicit written and spoken communication; Kannada and/or Hindi for site teams is an advantage.
