Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the Accounts Payable (AP) function. The role involves verifying and accounting for Accounts Payable (A/P) entries in SAP Business One (SAP B1) based on Payment Requisition Vouchers (PRVs) received from various departments in the organization. The ideal candidate should possess sound accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Verify Payment Requisition Vouchers (PRVs) received from various departments for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure all required approvals are obtained in accordance with the companys Delegation of Authority (DOA) and approval matrix.
- Review supporting documents and attachments to ensure they are adequate and compliant with company policies.
- Examine the applicability of TDS and ensure correct deduction and accounting as per the Income Tax Act.
- Accurately book operating expenses and liabilities in SAP Business One (SAP B1) within the prescribed timelines.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with the requesting departments.
- Prepare and post month-end expense provisions based on available information and supporting documents.




- Assist in monthly closing activities and reconciliation of expense-related accounts.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and statutory compliance.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing required schedules and supporting documents.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and statutory requirements.
- Perform any other accounting or finance-related responsibilities assigned by the Finance Manager from time to time.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B.Com). M.Com/MBA (Finance) would be an added advantage.

Experience

1 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting. Freshers with strong accounting fundamentals may also be considered.

Technical Skills

- Working knowledge of SAP Business One (SAP B1) is preferred.
- Valuable understanding of Accounts Payable processes.
- Knowledge of TDS provisions and GST accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
- Familiarity with month-end closing and provision accounting.
