Role & responsibilities:

Dispensing Medicines

- Dispense prescribed medications accurately as per doctors prescription.

- Ensure correct dosage, quantity, and instructions are provided.

- Patient Counseling

- Explain dosage, side effects, precautions, and storage instructions.

- Provide guidance on drug interactions and contraindications.

- Prescription Review

- Check prescriptions for accuracy and legality.

- Identify potential drug interactions or allergies.

- Inventory Management

- Maintain stock of medicines and medical supplies.

- Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.

- Place orders to maintain adequate stock levels.

- Coordination with Healthcare Team

- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

- Clarify prescription-related queries.

Customer Service

- Handle patient queries professionally.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

- Supervision (if applicable)

- Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff.

- Train junior staff when required.
