Resident Engineer shall be responsible for qualitative technical and administrative services for implementation and management of the construction of Berth and associated structures project for the overall performance of Supervision team for the entire project. The major tasks for the t Resident Engineer shall include but not limited to the following: 1. Assist the Client with the Review of the Contractors securities, insurance and safety plans; 2. scrutiny of the Contractor s work programme, and scheme for the deployment of plant, equipment and machinery for approval of the General Manager (Operations); 3. assist the Client in the interpretation of provisions in the Contract documents and technical specification; 4. assist the Authority/ Chief Engineer (Civil) in handing over the site and issuing order to commence the works; 6. Regular Supervision of works and Evolve and implement Quantity and Quality control procedures , evolve criteria for the acceptance of works; 7. prepare and issue variation orders after the approval of the Client ; 8. assist the Client in the evaluation of Contractor s claims; 9. verify and certify Contractor s Interim Certificates and bills for approval of the Engineer in charge of the project 10 . assist the Contarctor in monitoring Physical and Financial Progress of the works; 11. prepare quarterly project budgets and estimates; 12. Conducting monthly progress meetings. 13. compile monthly progress reports and prepare Quarterly Reports. 14. strictly monitor the progress of work for timely completion of the project. 15. verify and certify Contractor s Statements at completion; 16. prepare Project Completion Report; 17. time schedule and management of Team s resources; and 18. advising the Contractor /Client in all matter related to the progress of works, with particular reference to delays,
possiblereasons and mitigating measures.
