Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Automation Engineer to join our product engineering team , focused on building scalable, intelligent, and self-evolving test systems

Unlike traditional QA roles, this position is deeply embedded in the product lifecycle owning quality as a product capability , not just a testing phase

You will work on Playwright-based automation , tightly integrated with Azure cloud and DevOps , while driving adoption of AI-powered testing and observability

What You ll Own

- Build and evolve test automation as a core product capability
- Ensure continuous quality validation across releases
- Drive AI-led quality engineering (not just automation)
- Contribute to observability, reliability, and product insights

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright
- Embed automated testing into the product development lifecycle (CI/CD on Azure DevOps)
- Develop API, UI, and integration test coverage for product features
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to shift quality left
- Build reusable testing utilities, frameworks, and accelerators
- Ensure high test reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Contribute to release readiness and production quality monitoring

AI Intelligent Quality Engineering

- Implement AI-assisted test generation from product requirements and user flows




- Build self-healing automation to handle UI and workflow changes dynamically
- Develop intelligent failure analysis systems using logs, traces, and execution data
- Enable predictive test prioritization based on defect trends and usage patterns
- Apply anomaly detection on test executions and system behavior
- Contribute to autonomous quality workflows (auto-retry, smart alerts, action triggers)

Required Skills

- 3 years of experience in Automation / Quality Engineering
- Robust hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript / TypeScript)
- Experience working in product development environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, repos)
- Experience with API testing and backend validation
- Proficiency in Git-based development workflows
- Strong understanding of test design, scalability, and reliability principles

Valuable to Have

- Exposure to AI/ML-driven testing approaches
- Experience with LLM integrations (eg, Microsoft Azure OpenAI, OpenAI)
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices
- Experience with Docker / containerized environments
- Exposure to observability tools and monitoring frameworks
