Role Overview

The Packaging Solution Specialist is responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing packaging solutions to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation, storage, and handling of materials and finished products throughout the supply chain. This role works closely with Logistics, Warehouse, Production, Procurement, Suppliers, and Engineering teams to improve packaging performance, reduce logistics costs, and support operational excellence. The position also supports packaging standardization and digital warehouse processes, with SAP EWM knowledge considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement packaging solutions for materials, components, and finished products to ensure product protection and logistics efficiency.
- Evaluate and optimize packaging designs to improve space utilization, transportation efficiency, ergonomics, and overall cost performance.
- Define packaging specifications, standards, work instructions, and packaging requirements for suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate packaging trials, validations, and implementation activities for new products and engineering changes.
- Analyze packaging-related issues and propose corrective actions to prevent product damage, quality concerns, and logistics disruptions.
- Collaborate with Logistics, Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and Supplier teams to ensure packaging compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor packaging performance indicators, including damage rates, packaging costs, utilization rates, and logistics efficiency.
- Support returnable packaging management, packaging inventory control, and sustainability initiatives.




- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on packaging optimization, warehouse efficiency, and supply chain performance.
- Support warehouse and logistics process improvements utilizing SAP EWM or related warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure packaging solutions meet company standards and operational requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Solutions, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, packaging design principles, and logistics packaging solutions.
- Experience in developing and implementing returnable and expendable packaging solutions.
- Understanding of warehouse operations, material flow, transportation, and supply chain processes.
- Ability to perform packaging cost analysis, optimization studies, and root cause analysis of packaging-related issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valuable command of English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) & IQC (Incoming Quality Control) is highly preferred
- Experience in automotive manufacturing, logistics operations, or industrial environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Supply Chain best practices is preferred.
