Job Title: Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS/IWS) Scheduler & Application Support (Distributed Systems) Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS/IWS) professional to join our distributed systems support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in job scheduling, workload automation, and application support, with a passion for optimizing and streamlining operational workflows. This role requires hands-on experience with TWS or equivalent scheduling tools, scripting, and a solid understanding of distributed environments. Key Responsibilities: Provide end-to-end support for TWS/IWS scheduling environments across distributed platforms. Design, configure, and implement scheduling requests based on user documentation and business requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling issues, job failures, and performance bottlenecks. Monitor and manually execute batch jobs as required, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Collaborate with application teams, developers, and infrastructure teams to support batch processing and job automation. Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and implement scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency and system stability. Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Maintain documentation and knowledge base for scheduling processes and troubleshooting procedures. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying SRE principles such as reliability, observability,



automation, and incident management, while supporting Agile delivery practices. Required Skills & Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS/IWS). Strong experience in configuring, designing, and implementing job schedules. Proficient in troubleshooting job failures and scheduling issues independently. Solid understanding of Linux and Windows Server operating systems and command-line tools. Scripting experience in Bash, Perl, or AWK to automate routine tasks and job flows. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub/Bitbucket, and ServiceNow. Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), observability tools (OTEL, Loki and Grafana) and networking concepts. Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Preferred/Additional Skills: Exposure to IBM DB2, IBM Connect:Direct/NDM, IBM WebSphere Liberty. Understanding of application processing and batch architecture. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools is a plus. Work Schedule & On-Call Shift flexibility required to support any 9-hour shift within a 24-hour window on weekdays (24x7 rotational support). Shift timings may include: o 10:00 PM 7:00 AM IST o 6:00 AM 3:00 PM IST o 05:30 PM 02:30 AM IST o 8:30 AM 5:30 PM IST On-call support on a rotational basis during weekends and holidays.
