To lead and supervise shop floor operations related to the fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and heavy industrial equipment as per ASME standards, ensuring timely delivery, quality output, and adherence to safety and productivity norms.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement daily and weekly production schedules based on project priorities.
- Coordinate with planning, design, and procurement teams to ensure resource availability.
- Allocate manpower and machine usage efficiently to meet targets.
- Oversee fabrication activities including plate cutting, rolling, welding, fitting, assembly, and NDT readiness.
- Ensure compliance with approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and QAP (Quality Assurance Plan).
- Monitor material flow, sub-assembly status, and ensure adherence to quality norms.
- Lead a team of supervisors, welders, fitters, riggers, and helpers.
- Organize training and skill development programs for shop floor workforce.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and high morale within the team.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for stage-wise and final inspection.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Maintain HSE compliance and drive safety culture on the shop floor.
- Prepare daily production reports, productivity trackers,



and material consumption logs.
- Escalate bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.
- Liaise with maintenance for equipment upkeep and breakdown resolution.
- Ensure shop safety aspects and workplace rules regulations.

Key Skills Competencies

- Strong knowledge of fabrication standards (ASME, IS, DIN, etc.)
- Proficiency in reading fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Hands-on experience in managing fabrication of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office.

Educational Qualifications Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication Technology.
- 12 to 15+ years in heavy fabrication industries with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
