Gap Year Program Head
About the Role
The Gap Year Program Head is the person who makes the institution's Gap Year program truly come alive. This individual will own the full student journeyfrom academic delivery and venture-building to hostel and residential life, community engagement, and global immersions across locations such as Dubai, Shanghai, Madrid, Singapore, India, Africa, and Europe—and build the systems and teams that make it all work seamlessly.
We are looking for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and enjoys both designing exceptional experiences and ensuring their flawless execution on the ground.
Specifically, this role will involve
- Owning the end-to-end design and execution of the Gap Year program, from academic structure and learning outcomes to day-to-day operations across geographies.
- Ensuring the curriculum is rigorous, applied, and outcome-driven. Working closely with the Head of Curriculum to translate course design into a high-quality learning experience.
- Overseeing the venture-building track, from structuring project milestones to ensuring every student team has the mentorship, resources, and guidance needed to build and operate a real business.
- Owning hostel and residential life end-to-end, including systems, standards, and the overall student living experience.
- Designing clubs, events, and student-led activities that foster culture, engagement, and belonging.
- Designing and executing immersive learning experiences across multiple global locations, from concept development to on-ground delivery.
- Building, leading, and scaling a high-performing global team across cities, while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Ideal Candidate
- 7+ years of experience in program leadership, experiential education, operations, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs end-to-end.
- Demonstrated ability to build programs from scratch and successfully scale them.
- Equally strong in strategy and execution, with the ability to design experiences and bring them to life operationally.
- Experienced people leader capable of aligning and inspiring teams across geographies and time zones.
- Deeply student-centric, with a strong focus on outcomes and experience quality.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, rapid-paced environments and creating structure where none exists.
- Prior experience in ed-tech, global education programs, higher education, or high-growth startups is highly desirable.
