Key Responsibilities:
NSO Transformation Lead
The Transformation Lead will be responsible for leading the evaluation, replacement, and modernization of the existing Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) platform used in the transport domain. The role will drive the RFP process, vendor evaluation, architecture definition, and implementation strategy for a next-generation orchestration platform enabling end-to-end zero-touch design and provisioning for B2B and B2C telecom services.
The candidate will work across transport network engineering, OSS/BSS, automation, and service delivery teams to define requirements and ensure the new orchestration platform supports scalable service lifecycle management, automation, and closed-loop operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. NSO Transformation Strategy
- Define the target architecture for next-generation NSO platform supporting transport domain services.
- Develop strategy for migration from existing NSO to advanced orchestration platforms.
- Define automation maturity roadmap toward end-to-end zero-touch service lifecycle management.
- Align orchestration capabilities with network automation and digital transformation programs.
2. RFP Development & Release
- Lead the creation and release of RFP for replacement of the existing NSO platform.
- Define functional, technical, operational, and commercial requirements for the orchestration solution.
- Develop detailed evaluation criteria and scoring framework.
- Coordinate with procurement, legal, and technical teams during RFP lifecycle.
- Conduct vendor presentations, PoCs, and solution evaluations.
3. Service Design & Automation
Define service models and automation frameworks for transport services such as:
- L2VPN
- L3VPN
- Ethernet services
- Internet services
- Wholesale connectivity
- Enable model-driven service orchestration and intent-based service provisioning.
- Design zero-touch provisioning workflows across network and OSS layers.
4. Integration Architecture
Define integration architecture with:
- OSS systems
- Inventory platforms
- Assurance platforms
- BSS / Order Management systems
- Network controllers (SDN)
- Domain controllers
- Enable closed-loop automation using telemetry and assurance systems.
5. Transport Domain Alignment
Ensure orchestration platform supports transport technologies such as:
- IP/MPLS
- Optical transport
- DWDM
- Packet transport networks
- Ensure compatibility with multi-vendor network environments.
6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage interactions with NSO vendors, system integrators, and automation partners.
- Work with internal stakeholders including:
- Network engineering
- Operations
- IT/OSS
- Service delivery
- Procurement
- Lead workshops to gather functional and operational requirements.
7. Implementation & Migration Planning
- Define migration strategy from existing orchestration platform.
- Create implementation roadmap and phased rollout plan.
- Support service migration and operational readiness.
