Software Engineer
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Full Stack Software Engineer will support the OEE project by designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining scalable software solutions across the full application stack using AI tools and development. This role requires strong frontend, backend, cloud, integration, and application support capabilities to help deliver a secure, maintainable, and effective platform for manufacturing and operational performance use cases.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain full stack software solutions using React, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and other appropriate technologies.
- Develop responsive frontend experiences and reliable backend services that meet business, operational, and technical requirements.
- Design and implement scalable application architectures, APIs, integrations, and data flows across internal and external systems.
- Apply strong engineering judgment to select the right language, framework, design pattern, and architecture based on project needs.
- Develop and maintain AWS based cloud solutions, including services such as AWS SiteWise, to support industrial and operational data use cases.
- Support data movement and downstream analytics needs involving BigQuery and GCP.
- Integrate applications within the Bayer enterprise ecosystem and support connectivity with Genesys where required.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, technical teams, and support teams to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and stabilize the application when issues arise, including production support and incident resolution.
- Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing,
deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support practices.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Strong full stack software engineering experience across frontend, backend, cloud, integration, and support responsibilities.
- Advanced proficiency with React, Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Manufacturing, industrial systems, plant operations, or operational technology experience.
- Understanding of OEE concepts, manufacturing KPIs, production loss analysis, downtime tracking, or shop-floor performance management.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, stream processing, telemetry ingestion, or industrial IoT patterns.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, serverless architectures, containers, observability tooling, or cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in production, including incident management, monitoring, alerting, root-cause analysis, and operational runbooks.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments, balance technical best practices with pragmatic delivery, and make architecture decisions that support long-term maintainability.
