BUSINESS UNIT

The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs finances and expenditures. Through careful consideration and analyses of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firms businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Direct Hedge Funds, Hedge Funds Strategies, Private Equity Group teams within Controllers support the alternative investments within Goldman Sachs Asset Management division with oversight over complex private funds.

BASIC QUALIFICATION

Qualified CA /CFA/CMA

Basic industry knowledge and strong accounting knowledge. Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, tools and utilities for business use

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Execute the end-to-end production, validation, and analysis of daily P&L; for complex trading desks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide comprehensive P&L; attribution and P&L; commentary, decomposing revenue drivers into market movements, current trades, and valuation adjustments.
- Perform rigorous balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements.
- Manage the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial disclosures and regulatory reporting submissions.
