Role & responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Drive end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions.
- Own sprint planning, resource allocation, project execution, and timely delivery of engineering initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, software architecture principles, security, and best engineering practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to improve code quality and team productivity.
- Hire, coach, and develop engineering talent through regular feedback, performance reviews, and career development plans.
- Resolve technical roadblocks and make critical architectural and technology decisions.
- Drive Agile/Scrum processes and continuously improve engineering efficiency and delivery metrics.
- Monitor application performance, reliability, scalability, and system availability.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning within the engineering team.





Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 23 years of people management or technical leadership experience.
- Solid experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Go, or Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with system design, microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and version control tools like Git.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum, SDLC, and engineering best practices.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing engineering teams and deliver complex software projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in Product, SaaS, FinTech, E-commerce, or Enterprise software organizations is preferred.
- Passion for mentoring engineers, driving innovation, and building scalable technology solutions.
