About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Junior Engineer Production with 4-8 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong production management skills, a quality-focused mindset, and hands-on experience in continuous improvement initiatives to support efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets.
- Monitor manpower utilization and improve line productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, SOPs, and customer requirements.
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Production Planning, Logistics, and Stores for smooth production flow.
- Maintain daily production reports, MIS, downtime records, rejection analysis, and productivity reports.
- Support new model trials, process validation, line balancing, and productivity improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, PPE usage, statutory requirements, and company procedures.
- Train and guide operators on work standards, quality requirements, and safe working practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- 45 years of relevant experience in an automotive manufacturing company (Tier-1 supplier experience preferred).
- Robust knowledge of production processes, shop-floor management, and manufacturing operations.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement tools.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive quality management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, and MSA.
- Experience handling customer audits, process audits, and internal quality audits.
- Exposure to automotive component manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and effectively manage production teams.
