Key Responsibilities

- Ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, operational efficiency, and minimum downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance programs.
- Lead troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
- Oversee the maintenance of compressors, boosters, mud pumps, hydraulic power packs, rotary heads, feed systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor equipment condition, component wear, and performance to identify potential failures before major breakdowns occur.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules and breakdown response in coordination with Drilling Supervisors and Drillers.
- Lead maintenance support for rig mobilization, demobilization, mast erection, commissioning, and drilling setup activities.
- Manage maintenance teams and ensure effective coordination with Drilling, HSE, Procurement, Stores, OEM suppliers, and workshop personnel.
- Ensure proper control and utilization of critical spare parts, maintenance resources, and repair costs.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures, OEM standards, and approved maintenance procedures.




- Ensure maintenance records, inspection checklists, equipment history, and daily maintenance reports are properly maintained.
- Conduct failure investigations and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring failures and unplanned downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, cost control, and operational performance.
- Ensure all replacement parts, repairs, and maintenance work meet required technical and quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership and support to maintenance teams working in remote mining and exploration environments.
- Maintain working knowledge of major Core and RC drilling equipment, compressors, boosters, and drilling systems, including equipment from manufacturers such as Epiroc, Atlas Copco, Sandvik, Schramm, UDR, PRD, and EDM.
- Responsible for creating maintenance item codes, raising and managing purchase requisitions (PRs/indents), and coordinating the timely issuance of required spare parts and maintenance items to ensure uninterrupted drilling operations.
