Role & responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications for telecom analytics and network data processing.
- Implement and enhance parsers for XML, binary, and proprietary telecom data formats.
- Process and correlate cellular network events into structured call and session records.
- Work with GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G network trace and log data from multiple telecom vendors.
- Optimize high-volume batch processing workflows for performance, scalability, and stability.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to parsing, data integrity, and distributed processing components.
- Support modernization initiatives from legacy Java codebases to newer Java versions.
- Collaborate with telecom domain experts and backend engineering teams for solution design and issue resolution.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve debugging, onboarding, and code understanding.

Preferred candidate profile





- 4-8 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Robust knowledge of Java fundamentals, concurrency, and multithreading.
- Experience with XML processing and parser development.
- Hands-on experience working with large-scale or distributed data processing systems.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience working with legacy or monolithic enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
- Good understanding of memory management and high-throughput batch processing systems.
- Telecom domain exposure to GSM, UMTS, LTE, or 5G technologies is preferred.
- Experience with JBoss/WildFly, Hadoop ecosystem, streaming architectures, or event processing pipelines will be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
