Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated DB2 Database Monitoring & Administration IT Analyst to drive the reliability, performance, and operational excellence of our enterprise database environment. This role requires a proactive technical leader who can balance hands-on database administration with strategic monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, monitor, and maintain DB2 database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Lead proactive database health checks, performance tuning, capacity planning, and issue prevention activities.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents, minimizing business impact and ensuring service continuity.
- Implement and enhance monitoring, alerting, automation, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Partner closely with application, infrastructure,



and business teams to support project delivery and operational excellence.
- Drive root cause analysis, documentation, and process improvements to strengthen platform stability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security policies, and operational best practices.

Qualifications

- Robust experience in DB2 database administration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup & recovery.
- Hands-on expertise with database monitoring tools, automation, and production support.
- Solid understanding of database security, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Experience supporting mission-critical environments with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration capabilities.
