We are looking for a skilled SAP FICO Data Migration Consultant with 10-12 years of experience to lead the FICO data migration workstream for a large-scale global transformation program. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Finance and Controlling business processes combined with strong technical expertise in SAP data migration tools. This position is based in Bangalore and Mumbai.

Roles and Responsibility

- Collaborate with business process owners and functional leads to define data requirements, extraction rules, and validation criteria.
- Develop detailed data cutover plans, including sequencing of load cycles, Mock 1, Mock 2, Dry Run, Production Cutover, and execution of the data migration strategy for the FICO stream across multiple country rollouts.
- Manage the extraction of Master Data and Transactional Data from legacy SAP ECC and non-SAP systems.
- Lead data cleansing and transformation workshops to align legacy data with the S4HANA data model.
- Execute data loads using S4HANA specific tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC, LTMOM, and SAP Data Services BODS.
- Perform preload and post-load validation to ensure 100% data accuracy and conduct financial reconciliation, including Trial Balance matching, Subledger to General Ledger reconciliation between legacy and the new S4 system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data load errors working closely with the technical and ABAP teams.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) for migrated data and obtain sign-offs from business stakeholders.
- Work with local finance teams in different countries to handle localization requirements, such as local chart of accounts, tax codes, and bank formats.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP FICO with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations and 2 dedicated migration projects.




- Deep knowledge of Financial Accounting (FI), GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Controlling (CO), Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
- Comprehensive understanding of S4 innovations, including Universal Journal, ACDOCA, New Asset Accounting, and Customer-Vendor Integration (CVI).
- Expertise in SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC, LTMOM, and SAP Data Services BODS or LSMW Legacy System Migration Workbench for complex transformations.
- Solid SQL skills or ability to write functional specs for ABAP teams to build custom extraction-load programs.
- Proficiency in Excel VLOOKUP Pivot Tables for large-scale data analysis and validation.
- Experience managing data objects such as Master Data (GL Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Bank, Fixed Assets, Business Partners, Customer-Vendor).
- Transactional Data (GL Balances, Open APAR items, Fixed Asset Balances, historic and current year, and Cost Object balances).
- Certification in SAP S4HANA Finance or Data Migration is a plus.
- Experience with SAP MDG Master Data Governance.
- Exposure to SAP Landscape Transformation SLT replication.
- Prior experience in multicurrency and multi-GAAP IFRS/US GAAP Local GAAP environments.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex data issues to non-technical finance users.
- Proactive approach to identifying data anomalies and resolving load failures under tight cutover deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to the nuances of different country requirements during a global rollout.
