We are looking for a highly skilled and certified Senior Ignition SCADA Developer with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions using Inductive Automation's Ignition platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience across various Ignition modules and APIs, and a robust background in industrial automation, particularly in Oil Gas or similar process industries.

Roles and Responsibility

- Design and develop scalable SCADA applications using Ignition Designer, Perspective, and Vision modules.
- Configure and manage Ignition Gateway, including security settings, redundancy, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain Tag Providers, Tag Historian, Alarm Pipelines, and Transaction Groups.
- Integrate Ignition with field devices, PLCs, RTUs, flow computers using protocols such as Modbus, TCP/RTU, OPC UA, MQTT, and DNP3.
- Implement real-time data acquisition, event logging, and historian integration for operational insights and compliance.
- Utilize Ignition scripting environment (Python/Jython) for custom logic automation and UI enhancements.
- Work with Ignition SDK and Web Services (REST/SOAP) to extend platform capabilities and integrate with external systems.
- Develop custom modules or extensions using Ignition Module SDK when required.
- Design robust, secure, and scalable SCADA architectures aligned with ISA95, ISA88, and IEC 62443 standards.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and data integrity protocols.
- Collaborate with automation engineers, IT,



and operations teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide detailed technical documentation, user manuals, and training to stakeholders and support teams.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, Control, Electronic and Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA, including Gateway configuration, Designer, and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with any other SCADA platforms like Wonderware InTouch, Cygnet, AVEVA Enterprise, etc.
- Gold Certification from Inductive Automation is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of SCADA architecture, object-oriented design, and industrial automation systems.
- Proficiency in Python/Jython, SQL, and Ignition's expression language.
- Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with Ignition Edge, Ignition Perspective, and Ignition Reporting Module is preferred.
- Exposure to IIoT platforms, cloud integration, and data analytics is desirable.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISA is an added advantage.
