We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our Data Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data across complex data integration and warehousing environments, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle. The role requires solid expertise in Data Quality Testing, SQL, ETL Testing, Database Testing, QuerySurge Automation, Snowflake, and IBM DataStage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for data warehouse and ETL applications.
- Perform Data Quality Testing to validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across source and target systems.
- Validate ETL processes by performing source-to-target mapping, transformation testing, reconciliation, and data migration testing.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data verification, root-cause analysis, and test result validation.
- Perform Database Testing to validate schema changes, data loads, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
- Design and maintain automated test suites using QuerySurge to improve test coverage, efficiency, and regression testing capabilities.
- Validate data pipelines, transformations, and reporting layers within Snowflake environments.
- Test and verify ETL workflows developed using IBM DataStage, ensuring business rules and transformation logic are correctly implemented.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects, collaborating closely with developers,



data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Prepare test execution reports, quality metrics, and status updates for project stakeholders.
- Drive test automation initiatives and continuously improve testing processes and standards.

Required Skills:

- Hands on experience in Data Quality Engineering, ETL Testing, and Database Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, aggregations, data comparison, and performance validation.
- Expertise in ETL Testing with strong understanding of data transformation, data migration, reconciliation, and source-to-target validation.
- Experience in Database Testing across relational database platforms.
- Hands-on experience with QuerySurge for automated data validation and ETL testing.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, SQL development, data loading, and validation techniques.
- Experience testing ETL processes developed using IBM DataStage.
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing, dimensional modeling, facts, dimensions, and data marts.
- Experience with defect management and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

- Prior experience in the Insurance domain or financial services testing.
