We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to lead performance testing, monitoring, and analysis for high-volume, transaction-oriented applications (preferably in retail/e-commerce). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in performance testing tools, cloud environments, microservices architecture, and APM tools to ensure application scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests.
- Lead performance testing initiatives for high-traffic, transaction-heavy applications.
- Perform performance testing for microservices-based applications deployed on AWS cloud.
- Conduct performance validation of batch jobs and messaging systems (Kafka, TIBCO).
- Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks using APM tools like Dynatrace (preferred), AppDynamics, or CA Wily.
- Monitor and analyze logs using Splunk, ELK, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to resolve performance issues.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics.
- Define and validate Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) based on business needs.




- Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend performance improvements.
- Communicate findings and escalate issues to stakeholders effectively.
- Develop automation scripts using Java, Python, or Unix shell scripting.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Performance Testing concepts and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or SOASTA CloudTest.
- Experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace (preferred), AppDynamics, or CA Wily.
- Positive understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kafka, TIBCO, or messaging systems.
- Proficiency in log analysis tools like Splunk or ELK stack.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.
- Basic programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Retail / E-commerce domain.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in handling high-volume production systems.
- Certification in performance testing or cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
