Role: Junior Frontend or UI/UX Developer

Purpose of the Role

The role is focused on supporting the design, development, and improvement of SphereNet’s customer-facing and operational web platform. The candidate will work with senior engineers and product stakeholders to build React/Next.js screens, reusable UI components, forms, dashboards, workflow journeys, and API-integrated interfaces.

Platform Context

SphereNet is positioned as a workflow-heavy telecom operating platform, not a basic website. It covers:

Customer onboarding

Quoting and ordering

Provisioning

Billing

Ticketing

Service assurance

Renewals

Operational dashboards and workflows

Key Responsibilities

The JD currently covers responsibilities across:

Frontend Development

Build and maintain React, Next.js, and TypeScript screens.

Develop forms, dashboards, tables, workflows, and operational work queues.

Integrate frontend screens with secure REST APIs.

Handle loading, validation, error, empty, success, and exception states.

Improve existing frontend code with support from senior engineers.

Workflow and UX

Translate workflows, wireframes, and user stories into usable user journeys.

Build role-aware experiences for internal teams, partners, resellers, and customers.

Improve usability and reduce user errors.

Support both automated and manual fallback workflows.

Components and Design System

Support reusable UI components and layout standards.

Use component libraries such as Material UI.

Maintain consistency across screens and modules.

Document reusable components and implementation notes.

State Management and API Integration

Use Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query, TanStack Query, or equivalent tools.





Implement permission-based visibility and access restrictions.

Support authentication, authorisation, pagination, filtering, sorting, and search.

Work with backend engineers to clarify API contracts.

Quality and Testing

Write unit and component tests.

Support Playwright/Cypress end-to-end testing where required.

Participate in code reviews.

Support regression testing and defect investigation.

Collaboration and Communication

Work with the Senior Backend Engineering Lead and Technical Product and Delivery Manager.

Break assigned requirements into development tasks.

Communicate frontend progress, blockers, risks, and design choices clearly.

Support demos and explain user journeys in business language.

Required Technical Skills

The JD now requires practical commercial experience in:

Deliver initial customer, account, product, quote, and order screens.

Integrate with backend APIs.
