Job Purpose

The Corporate Relations Manager is a high-impact, target-driven individual contributor responsible for building and sustaining a portfolio of corporate relationships that generate consistent hiring and engagement outcomes and long-term institutional partnerships for NxtWave.

This is a hunter role and the CRM is the first and primary point of contact for every company that enters the NxtWave ecosystem. The CRM independently generates pipeline, qualifies companies, identifies the right way to engage each company, drives the engagement funnel end to end, and converts first-time engagements into long-term retained partnerships. The mandate is twofold: deliver outcomes today and ensure that no company that comes into the CRM's radar ever goes cold.

The CRM owns the company relationship and the outcome. Internal teams support lead sourcing, candidate/talent profiling, and interview coordination so the CRM can focus on companies, relationships, and closure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Acquisition & Direct Outreach

- Identify and qualify target companies across startups, high-growth firms, GCCs, product companies, SMBs, enterprises, and international firms with any talent or hiring need.
- Build an outbound pipeline independently using job portals, LinkedIn, startup databases, company career pages, funding announcements, and hiring signals; lead-generation support is supplementary.
- Run disciplined, high-volume outreach across call, email, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn, targeting the right decision-makers Founders, CEOs, CTOs, Tech Leads, CHROs, HR Heads, and Talent Acquisition leads.
- Use a consultative discovery approach: ask deep questions about team structure, roadmap, hiring timelines, skill gaps, and growth challenges before pitching.
- Identify latent needs and position NxtWave's solutions against specific business problems rather than waiting for posted openings.
- Qualify each company to determine the most relevant way to engage, and route to the appropriate internal team where ownership of execution sits elsewhere.
- Ensure no company in the pipeline goes cold every relationship has a documented next action — and re-engage historical accounts to surface renewed or changed requirements.

2. Requirement Management & Closure

- Own the complete engagement funnel from requirement intake through closure.
- Capture and document requirements accurately, including scope, role details, headcount, technical requirements, timelines, duration, compensation range, and expectations.
- Coordinate with internal sourcing and profiling teams to ensure quality candidate delivery within agreed timelines.
- Share shortlisted profiles, follow up on review status, and proactively drive interview scheduling.
- Manage interview logistics end-to-end, including scheduling, candidate preparation, day-of confirmations, and result tracking.
- Drive offer-to-join conversion through proactive engagement with both the company and the candidate after selection.
- Plan and coordinate offline hiring drives at company locations, NxtWave campuses, and co-working spaces across cities.

3. Stakeholder Relationship Management & Retention

- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted hiring partner for all partner companies, from first outreach through post-engagement — the first call when a new requirement comes up.
- After every successful outcome, deepen the institutional relationship by pursuing formal signals such as testimonials, leadership introductions, or partnership agreements.
- Convert single mandates into repeat engagements, multi-role opportunities, and long-term partnerships.
- Collect success stories, case studies, and testimonials from companies and candidates to strengthen credibility and future outreach.

- Participate in stakeholder meetings, video calls, and offline visits, and represent NxtWave at industry events, meetups, founder networks, and hiring forums to expand the partnership base.
- Contribute to brand visibility through LinkedIn content, including company spotlights, success stories, and thought leadership posts.

4. Pipeline Management & Reporting

- Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene: company status, deal/opportunity stage, and next-action date updated after every interaction, with no open relationship left without a documented next action.
- Track the relationship state of every company across the full lifecycle, from first contact through retained partnership.
- Log all outreach attempts, outcomes, and follow-up actions systematically, regardless of whether a call or message received a response.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly reviews to align on priorities, surface blockers, and track progress.
- Provide regular feedback to the lead-sourcing team on contact quality and accuracy, and share insights on pipeline health, conversion trends, and channel effectiveness.
- Use daily planning to prioritise companies by relationship stage and requirement urgency, and track weekly progress against monthly targets.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance is tracked daily, weekly, and monthly, with monthly metrics rolling up into quarterly and yearly reviews. The CRM is measured on:

- Companies onboarded with active, confirmed requirements.
- Interview rounds / drives successfully conducted with companies.
- Conversion through the funnel — from requirement shared to interviews, and from interviews to closures.
- Total selects / closures achieved across company engagements.
- Companies routed to and successfully engaged through the most relevant solution.
- Repeat company rate — companies returning for subsequent requirements.
- Pipeline hygiene — every relationship has a documented status, next action, and follow-up date, with zero stale deals.

Time Allocation

The role is weighted toward outreach and relationship-building, with the majority of time spent on:

- Corporate acquisition and outreach — cold outreach, pipeline building, discovery, consultative pitching, and lead nurturing.
- Requirement management and closure — requirement intake, profile coordination, interview facilitation, and offer closure.
- Stakeholder relationship management — post-engagement follow-up, repeat mandates, and decision-maker relationship building.
- Pipeline hygiene and reporting — CRM updates, daily planning, and team coordination syncs.

Job Specification

Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred but not mandatory.
- 1 to 5 years of full time B2B sales, corporate hiring, recruitment, staffing, EdTech partnerships, or placement experience.
- Must have independently sourced and closed B2B deals without warm leads or pre-assigned accounts (internship-only or campus-placement-originated roles do not qualify).
- Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-stage pipeline of multiple active companies simultaneously with CRM discipline.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or equivalent for pipeline tracking and relationship management.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, RocketReach, or similar platforms for prospect identification and outreach.

- Ability to use AI tools for prospect research, outreach personalisation, and pitch preparation.
- Able to read and communicate clearly about roles across tech, operations, and business functions.
- Systematic documentation discipline, with every interaction logged and every company status updated in real time.

Behavioural Competencies

- Hunter mindset: generates own pipeline and takes ownership of outcomes, not activities.
- Consultative approach: discovers the company's context before pitching and tailors every conversation accordingly.
- Opportunity creation: identifies latent needs and positions solutions against real business problems.
- Target-driven: speaks in numbers, tracks conversion rates, and owns outcomes.
- Resilient and consistent: sustains high-volume outreach and follow-up discipline through objections and dry periods.
- Relationship builder: invests in long-term institutional partnerships, not one-time transactional closures.
- Process-oriented: follows structured follow-up cadences, relationship stages, and documentation standards.
- Adaptable and coachable: absorbs feedback quickly and continuously improves conversion metrics.

What Strong Candidates Have Done

- Run a complete cold-to-close B2B sales cycle independently — prospecting, qualification, discovery, pitching, negotiation, and closure — without warm leads or pre-assigned accounts.
- Sustained high-volume outreach consistently over months without losing momentum.
- Identified a need the company hadn't recognised and sold a solution against it.
- Recovered a relationship that was going cold, with documented re-engagement tactics and a positive outcome.
- Managed a live pipeline of many active relationships at different stages without dropped follow-ups.
- Used CRM tools religiously — knows conversion rates, open deal counts, and follow-up schedules from memory.
- Can cite specific closures with company name, role, challenge faced, and outcome achieved without pausing.

This Role is NOT for You If

- Your only B2B experience came through a campus placement drive or a structured MBA recruitment process.
- You have never independently sourced and closed a deal without warm leads, referrals, or pre-assigned accounts.
- You see this role as a short-term stepping stone to strategy, product, or people leadership without execution commitment.
- You are uncomfortable with sustained high-volume outreach as a persistent daily discipline.
- Your sales background was primarily event-based, roadshow-driven, or heavily dependent on your company's brand to open doors.
- You cannot name a specific client, deal, objection, or outcome from your most recent role without pausing.
- You view rejection as personal failure rather than a natural part of the sales funnel.

Why This Role

- Direct impact: every outcome is a visible result tied directly to your effort and relationship-building.
- Variable compensation: performance-based pay that scales with outcomes closed and companies retained.
- Entrepreneurial ownership: you own pipeline, company relationships, and outcomes end-to-end.
- Ecosystem access: you represent a full talent and training ecosystem, not a single product, to every company you meet.
- Market access: work with startups, GCCs, unicorns, enterprises, and international firms across Hyderabad, Bangalore, and beyond.
- Structured support: dedicated internal teams handle sourcing and interview logistics so you focus on relationships and closure.
- Growth path: high performers progress into senior roles, team leadership, account leadership, or strategic partnership tracks.
- Real-world exposure: direct conversations with founders and executives, offline drives, and field engagements make this a field role, not a desk job.
