Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Role :

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day shop-floor operations by ensuring production targets are achieved with optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and resources while maintaining quality, safety, productivity, and discipline. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan and allocate manpower to achieve daily production targets and monitor employee attendance to ensure adequate manpower availability.

• Maintain the right balance of experienced and trainee operators for smooth production.

• Supervise daily shop-floor operations, monitor production output, resolve operational issues, and minimize downtime.

• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and resources to meet production schedules.

• Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores to ensure uninterrupted production.

• Conduct shift handovers and communicate production targets, quality concerns, safety requirements, and operational updates.

• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs,



work instructions, and company policies.

• Ensure products meet quality standards by monitoring rejections and rework, and implementing immediate corrective actions.

• Maintain a secure, clean, and organized workplace through compliance with safety regulations and 5S practices.

• Ensure employees follow safe working practices, maintain shift discipline, attendance, accountability, and effective workforce utilization.

• Lead, guide, motivate, and coach production operators to improve productivity, teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.

• Monitor daily production and quality KPIs, prepare production reports,

communicate performance to management, and drive initiatives to reduce wastage, improve efficiency, and enhance operational performance.

• Maintain accurate production records and perform production reporting and system transactions using SAP and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP and Excel is essential for data analysis, inventory transactions, production tracking, and MIS reporting.
