Job Description
About the role
- Lead end-to-end global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery across multiple countries and entities.
- Champion payroll excellence by driving consistency, efficiency, and best-practice processes across global operations.
- Oversee complex payroll transactions, including salary changes, bonuses, commissions, equity events, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory obligations across APAC and other global jurisdictions.
- Build and maintain robust payroll controls, policies, SOPs, and documentation to support audit readiness and operational integrity.
- Partner with Finance to deliver accurate payroll accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.
- Produce meaningful payroll reporting and insights that support strategic business and financial decisions.
- Own and optimize global payroll systems and HRIS integrations, driving automation, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external payroll providers and key stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with People & Culture, Finance, Legal, and Compensation teams to deliver a seamless employee payroll experience and support global growth. Qualifications
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive payroll experience,
including extensive responsibility for APAC payroll operations within a multinational environment.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience managing global payroll platforms and HRIS integrations, with exposure to systems such as Workday, Deel, ADP, or similar enterprise solutions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements across multiple APAC countries, with experience navigating complex global payroll environments.
- Financial Acumen: Solid experience in payroll accounting, reconciliations, payroll funding, and partnering with Finance to support accurate month-end close and financial reporting.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive payroll process improvements in a fast-paced, global organization.
- Communication & Problem Solving: Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process optimization and operational excellence.
