Role Overview

The Designer cum R&D; Associate will be responsible for apparel design, product development, research, sampling, and innovation. This role requires a robust understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, technical specifications, and market trends. The candidate will collaborate closely with production teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

- Design uniforms for multiple industry segments.

- Research market trends, fabrics, trims, silhouettes, and functional apparel innovations.

- Develop seasonal and client-specific design concepts.

- Create technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator.

- Prepare detailed Tech Packs.

- Develop BOMs for garments.

- Conduct fabric and trim sourcing research.





- Evaluate fabric performance based on application.

- Coordinate sample development with production teams.

- Review sample fit, construction, and finishing.

- Prepare measurement charts and grading specifications.

- Maintain design documentation and development records.

- Conduct competitor benchmarking.

- Participate in client presentations when required.

- Support cost optimization through alternative materials and construction techniques.

- Coordinate with vendors for sample fabrics and trims.

- Ensure all designs meet production feasibility and quality standards.
