The Data/BI Analyst will be responsible for exploring and understanding complex data models, maintaining existing data marts (DDPs), and creating new ones to support the marketing department’s analytical needs. This role requires a solid technical foundation in data warehousing and transformation, as well as a keen business sense to translate data into strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a passion for data quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Modeling and Transformation:
- Explore and understand existing data models to identify opportunities for improvement and new data products.
- Maintain and enhance existing Derived Data Products (datamarts) using dbt to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and timeliness.
- Design, develop, and implement new DDPs to support evolving marketing analytics requirements.
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes.
- Data Analysis:




- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements. o Perform ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions related to campaign performance, customer behavior, and marketing ROI.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making within the marketing team.
- Data Governance and Quality:
- Utilise data cataloging tools like Alation (or similar) to document data assets, define data definitions, and promote data literacy across the marketing team.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes within dbt / Alation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the marketing data store.
- Establish and enforce best practices for data management and governance.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the marketing team and data engineering/IT teams.
