Position Summary: As the MEP Lead, you will play a crucial role in the engineering and design of Electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, as well as public health systems (with support for upskilling). You will coordinate closely with HVAC and fi re fi ghting consultants, ensuring seamless integration of systems. Your expertise will be vital in managing onsite teams for the submission of Level of Development (LOD) 500 construction drawings and obtaining client approvals for MEP designs and material purchases.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering:
● Lead the design and engineering of electrical and ELV systems with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in design and 5 years onsite.
● Engineer public health systems, leveraging support for skill enhancement. Coordination:
● Collaborate with HVAC and Fire Protection system consultants to ensure cohesive system integration.
● Coordinate with onsite teams for timely submission of LOD 500 construction drawings.
Approval Processes:
● Manage the approval process for MEP drawings and design basis reports with clients.




● Oversee the preparation and approval of onsite MEP material purchase lists prior to order placements.
Onsite Support:
● Address onsite challenges related to MEP installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifi cations.
● Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to design criteria and quality assurance. Team Leadership:
● Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on MEP systems.
● Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages innovation and effi ciency within the team. Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related fi eld.
● Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP design and coordination, including signifi cant onsite experience.
● Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices in MEP systems.
Skills:
● Profi ciency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM (Building Information Modeling), and relevant design so
