Overview
You’ll help turn complex insurance data into clear views of catastrophe risk. You’ll support seniors on larger renewals and work on your own for smaller, simpler books. You’ll use leading catastrophe models and WTW’s own models to prepare data, test assumptions, and build loss views. The work changes as priorities shift, so you’ll need to learn fast, stay adaptable, and work well with different people.
How You'll Make an Impact
You’ll prepare, clean, and edit data in SQL and Excel so it’s ready for model runs. You’ll geocode exposures, apply the right model and peril settings, and help produce exposure and loss summary reports.
You’ll also build maps and visuals in tools such as SpatialKey and ArcGIS, run proprietary peril analyses, and test how results change when inputs change. When you’re supporting bigger projects, you’ll keep in touch with the onshore lead analyst, share progress, flag anything important, and ask for feedback when it’s needed.
About You
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:
- You’ll be able to work through data carefully and spot issues in large records.
- You’ll be comfortable using SQL and Excel to prepare and edit data.
- You’ll be able to explain technical findings in clear, simple language.
- You’ll manage several tasks at once and keep to shifting deadlines.
- You’ll work well with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- You’ll be comfortable learning new tools, new models,
and new ideas with light guidance.
- You’ll stay steady when plans change and keep work moving forward.
