Job Description: A Senior Accountant for Logistics manages daily accounting (AP/AR, GL), oversees financial reporting (P&L;, Balance Sheet), ensures tax/GST compliance (especially for transport), reconciles accounts, supports budgeting, analyzes logistics costs, and often supervises junior staff, requiring robust ERP/Excel skills and collaboration with operations to maintain financial integrity in the supply chain. Key Responsibilities

- Financial Operations: Manage general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, petty cash, and daily transactions.
- Reporting: Prepare financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet) and management reports, including monthly/quarterly/annual closing tasks.
- Tax & Compliance: Handle GST (R1, 3B, 2A/2B reconciliation), TDS, e-invoicing, and e-way bills; ensure adherence to accounting standards.
- Logistics Cost Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on transportation and supply chain costs, identifying trends and potential savings.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:



Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor financial controls, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaboration: Work with operations, management, and external auditors.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train junior accountants.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Education: B.Com/M.Com.
- Experience: 5+ years in accounting, with specific logistics/transport sector experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, Advanced Excel, accounting software (QuickBooks).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, leadership, problem-solving, communication.
